A compression testing machine is a specialized device used to test the compressive strength of materials or packaging. It can measure the strength of materials such as metals and rubber, as well as the compression resistance and stacking performance of cartons and boxes. The structure and function of the equipment vary greatly depending on the test object; when selecting a model, it is necessary to first clarify whether the test is for "materials" or "packaging".
1. Connect the power cord, press the "Power" button (indicator light will illuminate), then press the "Start Pump" button (indicator light will illuminate again).
2. Open the oil supply valve to raise the test platform approximately 10 mm, then close the oil supply valve. If the test platform is already in the raised position, it is not necessary to start the oil pump first; simply close the oil supply valve.
3. Clamp one end of the sample in the upper jaw.
① Zero the digital display.
② Start the motor, lower the lower jaw to an appropriate height, and clamp the other end of the sample in the lower jaw (ensuring the sample is vertical). ③ Apply the load at the required loading rate by slowly opening the oil supply valve.
④ After the specimen breaks, close the oil supply valve.
⑤ Open the oil return valve to unload.
⑥ Remove the broken specimen. Compression and bending tests can be performed following the same procedures.
